INFORMATION ON COOKIES

As a result of the entry into effect of the above-mentioned modification to the Spanish Law on Information Society Services (LSSICE, Ley de Servicios de la Sociedad de la Información) established by Royal Decree 13/2012, it is obligatory to obtain the express consent of users of all webpages using strictly necessary cookies before allowing users to browse on them.

WHAT ARE COOKIES?

Cookies and other similar technologies such as shared objects, flash cookies, or pixels are tools used by web servers to store and retrieve information on their visitors as well as to offer proper website functionality.

Using these devices enables a web server to record certain pieces of data concerning users, such as their preferences for viewing the webpages on the server, their username and password, the products that they are most interested in, etc.

COOKIES AFFECTED BY LEGISLATION AND EXEMPT COOKIES

According to EU regulations, the cookies requiring the informed consent of users include analytics, advertising, and affiliate tracking cookies, with technical cookies and the cookies necessary to operate the website or to provide services expressly requested by users being exempt from this.

WHAT TYPES OF COOKIES EXIST?

Five main types of cookies exist:

  • Analytical cookies: these collect information on how the website is used.
  • Social cookies: these cookies are necessary for external social media platforms.
  • Affiliate tracking cookies: these allow to track visits originating from other websites with which the website has an affiliation contract (affiliated companies).

  • PHPSESSID: a strictly necessary technical cookie that contains a login identifier. It is deleted when the browser is closed.
  • _lang: a strictly necessary technical cookie that contains the language of the session. It is deleted when the browser is closed.
  • ac_cookies: a strictly necessary technical cookie that contains the value of whether the user has accepted the installation of cookies. It expires 1 year from its last update.
  • _utma: a Google Analytics cookie that records the date of the first and last time that the user visited the website. It expires 2 years from its last update.
  • _utmb: a Google Analytics cookie that records the time of arrival at the website. It expires 30 minutes from its last update.
  • _utmc: a Google Analytics cookie that is used to enable interoperability with the urchin.js tracking code. It is deleted when the browser is closed.
  • _utmt: a Google Analytics cookie. This cookie is used to process the type of request made by the user. It expires when the user signs out.
  • _utmv: a Google Analytics cookie. This cookie is used to segment demographic data. It expires when the user signs out.
  • _utmz: a Google Analytics cookie that stores the source of the traffic or a campaign in order to explain how the user arrived at the website. It expires 6 months following its last update.

1. INFORMATION PROVIDED TO USERS

PID MEDIOAMBIENTAL S.L., hereinafter the CONTROLLER, is responsible for processing users' personal data, and hereby informs them that this data will be processed in accordance with the provisions of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of April 27 (GDPR) and Spanish Organic Law 3/2018 of December 5 (LOPDGDD), because of which the following processing information is provided:

Purpose of the processing: to maintain a business relationship with the User. The operations foreseen to carry out the processing are the following:

  • Sending of advertising communications by email, fax, SMS, MMS, social media, or any other electronic or physical means, in the present or in the future, allowing to carry out business communications. These communications will be carried out by the CONTROLLER and will be related to its products and services, or those of the collaborators or suppliers with which it has established advertising agreements. In this last case, under no circumstances shall these third parties have access to personal data.
  • To carry out statistical studies. • To process orders, requests, or any type of request made by Users by means of the contact methods provided to them.
  • To send out the website's newsletter.

Legal basis of the processing: the consent of the party involved.

Data conservation criteria: data will be conserved for no longer than the time necessary to maintain the purpose of the processing, and when the data is no longer necessary for this purpose, it will be deleted with security measures that are adequate to guarantee the anonymity of the data or its total destruction.

Communication of the data: The data will not be sent to third parties except in the case of legal obligations to do so.

Users’ Rights:

  • The right to withdraw their consent at any time.
  • The right to access, rectify, the portability of and the deletion of their data as well as to restrict or oppose its processing.
  • The right to submit a claim to the oversight authority (www.aepd.es) if they believe that the processing is not compliant with current legislation.

  1. Select “Firefox” > “History” > “Clear Recent History”.
  2. Beside “Details”, click on the downwards arrow.
  3. Select the following verification boxes: “Cookies”, “Cache”, “Active Sessions”.
  4. Using the “Time Interval to Delete” option in the drop-down menu, select “All”.
  5. Click “Delete Now”.
  6. Close and restart the browser.
